Having to clean your precious belongings like jewelry, watches, guns, and even sometimes your car’s parts for the hardcore hobbyists amongst you, can be sometimes a tedious task to accomplish.
Luckily for us, there is an easy, practical, and most of all, an affordable method to clean these objects. We are of course talking about ultrasonic cleaners. But what cleaner should I choose? This is a typical question and we most likely have the answer to it.
This website is here to shed some light on the most popular ultrasonic cleaners available on the market. Since you’ve most likely made a search on the GemOro cleaners, then we have to provide you with our GemOro ultrasonic cleaner review. We will explore the features of two ultrasonic cleaners made by GemOro in details. We will highlight their strengths without discarding their weaknesses of course.
GemOro ultrasonic cleaner review: Quick summary
Before we start our review, let’s have a quick look at the different features of the ultrasonic cleaners that we will explore:
|Ulrasonic cleaner||Weight||Dimensions||Heater||Tank capacity||Link|
7.5" x 4.5" x 5.5"
Unprovided (less than 1.2-quart)
8.5" x 7"x 6"
GemOro-1780 ultrasonic cleaner
The GemOro-1780 ultrasonic cleaner can’t certainly be classified as one of the best ultrasonic cleaners in the market for numerous reasons. It didn’t reach the success of other products like the Magnasonic cleaners or the iSonic ones. Nevertheless, what are its features?
First things first, the dimensions: the GemOro-1780 is a small and compact device (7.5″ x 4.5″ x 5.5″), pretty practical to use on small objects, most likely, objects like watches and jewelry. But, that’s not the reason behind its unpopularity.
Unlike what we’re accustomed to seeing, even in regular and basic ultrasonic cleaners, this machine doesn’t provide different cleaning cycles. In fact, there are only two buttons: the power on and the power off buttons. This will ensure simplicity, but, as you can guess, you won’t have access to a heating feature, a degas mode, or a cleaning cycle superior to 3 min.
These are basically all the functionalities of the GemOro-1780. With that being said, this unit should at least cost less than $20, right? Wrong! Its price is a little bit superior to $40! Well then, what about the customers’ feedback?
There are several good opinions on this ultrasonic cleaner, but unfortunately, there are also some complaints too. To summarize them in a sentence or two, the problems that the unsatisfied users have faced, are related to some malfunctions after some months of usage. Some users also needed to use 4 to 6 cleaning cycles to obtain the wanted results; Pretty disappointing if you ask us.
|- Simple to use||- Expensive for the features it provides
- No heating feature
- No cleaning cycles superior to 3 min
- It has several complaints related to its efficiency as well as good ones (you have to be the judge this time)
GemOro 1.2 Quart Ultrasonic Cleaner
For those of you who are looking to own a larger ultrasonic cleaner then this one can definitely be what you are looking for.
This device is a little bit bigger than the previous one. It features a 1.2-quart tank’s capacity and is a little bit heavier with its 3.85 pounds weight. However, weight and dimensions aren’t the only things that can determine if an ultrasonic cleaner is worth buying or not. So what are the features of the GemOro 1.2 Quart ultrasonic cleaner?
For starters, unlike the GemOro-1780, this ultrasonic cleaner offers different cleaning cycles. Well, nothing out of the ordinary so far, but it’s a relieve to hear that.
Besides that, what’s also interesting to note, is the fact that the tank is 100% made of stainless steel. This will ensure high resistance and also a good life-span of the product.
But unfortunately, we must highlight also that this ultrasonic cleaner doesn’t have a heating feature. And speaking of weaknesses, one must also take into consideration the high price of a basic device like this. We aren’t really grasping the logic behind setting such high prices in products that are simple and have very little to offer in term of features.
What about the users’ feedback? Well, the same goes for this ultrasonic cleaner. Many people loved it, and many others didn’t. The ones that are complaining simply stated that this machine isn’t efficient. Nothing more to add.
|- Simple to use|
- Offers different cleaning cycles
|- Expensive for the features it's offering
- No heating features
- Many persons liked it, and many didn't
This is the end of our GemOro ultrasonic cleaner review. As you can tell just by reading, we aren’t very fond of the GemOro ultrasonic cleaners. However, since there are many people that liked these machines, there is a pretty good chance that you will be satisfied with one of them.
